Currently under construction and due to complete later this year, this mid-terrace typical Victorian Balham property had been unoccupied for some time and was in dire need of modernisation and repair.
The brief from our clients was to create a five-bedroomed family home with a large, sociable kitchen, separate living room and additional reception room as well as maximising natural light throughout and improving connections with the garden.
A wrap-around extension at ground floor has facilitated the creation of a fabulous open-plan kitchen/dining space with partially vaulted and glazed ceiling bring natural light deep into the space, a projecting window seat bay overlooking the garden as well as a new downstairs WC and utility cupboard located centrally.
Upstairs, a larger family bathroom will be incorporated while an L-shaped loft conversion is to accommodate two additional bedrooms as well as a new shower room.
